Terms of Service

Dharma Lock is an iOS application that encourages daily Hindu prayer practice by temporarily locking selected apps using Apple's Screen Time API until a puja is completed. Access to core features requires an active subscription.

You may use Dharma Lock only for its intended spiritual and personal productivity purpose. Any misuse — including attempts to bypass, manipulate, or reverse engineer its locking features — is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Dharma Lock does not require you to create an account. App functionality and preferences are stored locally on your device.

Dharma Lock is free to download. A paid subscription is required to access core features. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's billing terms.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

Dharma Lock uses the following trusted third-party providers:

• RevenueCat — for subscription management and payment processing
• Supabase — for secure backend data storage
• Apple Screen Time API — for app locking functionality

No personally identifiable information is sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

All content within Dharma Lock — including mantras, prayers, transliterations, English translations, deity content, UI design, and branding — is the intellectual property of Dharma Lock. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission.

Prayers and devotional content within Dharma Lock may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. This content is intended for inspirational and devotional use only and is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified religious leader, pandit, or spiritual advisor.

Dharma Lock is rated 4+ on the App Store and intended for users of all ages who wish to deepen their Hindu prayer practice. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use by minors.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful or unintended purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its features
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or locking functionality
• Exploit bugs, errors, or vulnerabilities in the app

Dharma Lock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no guarantees regarding availability, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dharma Lock and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes where possible. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
